Health and Safety

REACH
The new chemicals legislation REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of CHemicals) is unifying the current patchwork of European Directives and regulations. We fully support the REACH objectives.

Code of practice
Handling fibres in the proper way can reduce dust formation and thereby the transient itching of the skin due to coarse fibres.

GADSL
The Automotive Industry is thriving to build products which pose no limitation with regard to national and international standards, laws and regulations.
Health and Safety
Safety is a vital concern to any company. And so it is to us. High-alumina low-silica fibres Roxul®1000 (CAS nr. RN 287922-11-6) and CoatForce® (CAS nr. RN 1010446-93-6) set new standards in bio-solubility and safety, clearing the European Union's requirements by a healthy margin.
In tests according to Nota Q (EU directive 97/69/EC) at independent laboratories such as the RCC and Fraunhofer ITEM, the fibres have proven their high bio-solubility and may justifiably be exonerated from carcinogenicity classification.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) also excludes our products from any carcinogenicity classification.
In a search of the Chemical Inventory Listing position, please use the generic CAS RN, being 65997-17-3. The above mentioned CAS RN are not country-registered and are only to be used for the finer chemical definition of the fibre.
