In thermoplastic applications, our fibres offer an excellent price/performance ratio, improved output during compounding, improved surface quality and lower tendency to warpage.  

Rockforce® RF825-Roxul®1000 is an engineered mineral fibre with an amino-silane surface treatment. The product is developed for reinforcement in various thermoplastics. 

In polar matrixes like PA, ABS, PC or PBT the interaction between the aminosilane treated fibre and the matrix is normally sufficient to obtain the desired reinforcing properties. Used in non-polar matrixes such as PP, the addition of a compatibiliser (maleic anhydride modified PP) gives a chemically coupled mineral fibre compound with increased mechanical and thermo-mechanical properties.  

Rockforce® RF825-Roxul®1000 is very easily dispersed in a thermoplastic melt and can be compounded on single or twin screw extruders.
