Lapinus Fibres increases capacity
After the global crisis of 2008/2009 Lapinus has been experiencing a strong demand for its engineered fibres as of mid 2009. Over the last two years continuous improvements, crew additions and several capacity extensions have allowed us to increase production to record levels. In view of the increasing use of our fibres in both existing as well as new applications combined with the expected growth of its core markets, Lapinus has recently decided for a major capacity extension.
The extension will result in a further capacity increase of over 50%. Planned implementation date is end of Q4-2011. With this capacity extension Lapinus will be able to gradually reduce its lead-times to approx. 4 weeks.
Lapinus’ aim is to give the maximum possible service to our valued customers. This investment in additional capacity will secure our customers a stable and reliable supply situation for the foreseeable future.
