‘Intelligent’ means tailored fibres, precision engineered to match specific mechanical and thermal performance requirements within specific production processes, products and systems. Our fibres become fully integrated components of our customers’ next generation products. We create our fibre solutions by constantly pushing the boundaries of the technology while working with our customers to create products that push the boundaries in their applications and particular markets.
Spun from volcanic rock and man-made briquettes of precise composition, our fibres can be supplied with a purity of up to 99.9%. Added in the production process to all kinds of products, they greatly enhance performance and lower cost.
Our unique surface treatments further expand the possibilities and performance, helping us create many new and innovative special applications. We invest in our application-orientated research and development in close co-operation with our customers through our own Application Development Centre and the Rockwool International Research Centre.
Our fibres, produced at our ISO 9001 certified production facilities, are also the most environmentally sound, health and safety conscious products of their kind, recognized by independent laboratories and regulatory bodies and meeting the most stringent standards.
